PRENDETEVI 10 MINUTI E LEGGETE TUTTO L'ARTICOLO CON CALMA!!!! Stamattina mi sveglio, prima del solito. Probabilmente il mio subconscio era consapevole di quello che stava per succedere. Accendo il pc, lancio Outlook. Inizio a leggere le mail, quando vedo: Oggetto: Top 10 Joomla! SEO Tips and Tricks 1° pensiero: ma come cacchio fanno ad avere la mia mail.... odio lo spam 2° pensiero: oh cacchio devo correre in bagno... 3° pensiero di ritorno dal bagno: finalmente qualcuno che si mette a fare qualcosa di serio sulla SEO di joomla (anche in inglese). Now here are 10 easy, cheap ways to improve your SEO. 1) Don't install any sample data when you set up a Joomla! site.When you launch your Joomla! Site, it’s very easy to forget to delete all the demo articles that come with it. That will give you pages, links and newsfeeds that are irrelevant to your topic. Delete your sample data and don't forget to empty your trash as well! 2) Your Site Name should be your site’s name. There can be a temptation to cram as many keywords as possible into the "Site Name" field. It doesn't help and when users register at your site, they get an email saying "Welcome to Widgets, Buy Widgets, Cheap Widgets, Bargain Widgets!" You don't want that. 3) Turn off your PDF links. When we analyze Joomla! Sites, we often find PDFs ranking higher than the original pages. Because PDF pages have no menu links, they're a dead-end. Users can't move from the PDF to the rest of your site. So turn off those links. 4) Don't waste your site's link juice with lots of social bookmarking links. Lets face it, very few pages have a chance to hit the Digg home page or do well on Reddit, so only place those buttons on your best articles. Your visitors appreciate clean, uncluttered pages -- and so do search engines. 5) Redirect the www and non-www versions of your site to the same place. All you need to do is add this little piece of code to your .htaccess file. Note: Replace MyDomain with your domain name and .com with your domain extension.
Search in Google and you'll see a size for each site. Smaller, faster sites are more popular with visitors and with Google. One easy way to make your site act small and load faster is to turn on your cache in Global Configuration. 7) Enter a full description for all your sections and categories. These pages are great for organizing your site... and for improving Page Rank. If you organize your sections and categories carefully, your site becomes very easy for both people and search-engine spiders to navigate. 8) Less is often more Having thousands of Joomla! pages indexed in Google isn't always a good thing, especially if those pages don't bring value. Some components, for example, can produce lots of extra pages that are completely worthless. One easy way to check if your site is putting garbage on Google is to search for site:mydomain.com. If you find pages that don't have good content, you might want to remove them. 9) Empty your global configuration metadata. I'm sure you're all big fans of Joomla!, but I'm equally sure that "Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system" doesn't describe your site. Take it out. 10) Be confident. Joomla! is fantastic software that allows you to easily create lots of high quality pages that are great for your SEO. If you keep a close eye on your site and take the time to learn how Joomla! works, there's no reason why you shouldn't have top-flight search engine rankings! Need more SEO advice? Allora analizziamo i punti: 1) Non installare i dati di esempio. GIUSTO!!!!, però personalmente consiglio di installarli e poi eliminarli o modificarli in base alle esigenze. 2) Il nome del tuo sito dovrebbere essere il nome del tuo sito. Ottimo consiglio. 3) Disabilita i link ai pdf. Il concetto non è errato, giustamente i link ai pdf portano a pagine "morte" senza uscita. Bisognerebbe avvisare il dev team che inserire un semplice link di rimando alla versione "standard" dell'articolo è la cosa migliore. 4) Non sprecare la forza dei tuoi link inserendo tantissimi social bookmarking. Giusto, condivido. 5-6 al massimo. Il termine "your site's link juice" è fantastico. 5) Fai un redirect fra tutte le url senza il www alle url con il www. Spiega anche come farlo, che volete di più. 6) Abilita la cache. Giusto, anche se tutto dipende dal tipo di sito. In alcuni casi non è possibile. 7) Inserisci una bella descrizione in tutte le categorie e sezioni. Giusto!!! Non fate come ho fatto io qui su zalexo.it. 8) Tradotto come mi viene ora: Spesso è meglio averne di meno (vai a spiegarlo alle donne 9) Svuotare i metadati globali. Non sono d'accordo. Io consiglio di modificarli e adeguarli al sito. 10) Essere fiduciosi (spero di aver tradotto bene) e magari iscrivetevi al loro club
Fiducioso ho deciso di visitarmi il sito: http://www.ijoomla.com/ Tralasciamo i metatag della Home entro nella pagina del SEO club, guardo i meta e mi spavento: <meta name="title" content="joomla seo, seo club, alledia seo, search engine optimization - iJoomla.com" /> Meta description e Meta Keyword assenti. Mia nonna, che fa delle ottime tagliatelle, sa che non bisogna scrivere un metatitle in questo modo. A questo punto, visto che sono Bastardo e Perfezionista (con chi vende fumo), sono andato a vedere come appaiono in SERP. Questa è come appare la pagina del SEO club:

Odio essere così critico sul lavoro degli altri. Se poi andate a vedere le mie SERP troverete anche di peggio. Ma trovo insensato vederli vendere la loro professionalità in questo modo. Non potete pretendere di vendere un ebook (io lo regalo) con 4 cavolate e l'accesso al loro super forum SEO!!!! Non fraintendetemi, guadagnarci non è una cosa negativa. Io faccio corsi, posizionamento e tanto altro, ma spacciare in questo modo un prodotto del genere va contro la mia "etica" e dovevo segnalarlo. Quasi mi viene voglia di rimettere su il forum. Il problema è il tempo..... In realtà il sito che vende il prodotto è questo: http://www.alledia.com/ non segue i consigli sopra citati, il sito è fatto molto bene, mi piace. Però continuo a non condividere il modo in cui si vendono. Che ne dite ragazzi? qualche commento? Commenti (18)

) in poche parole dice che avere tante pagine di vuote e senza contenuti su google non serve a nulla. Meglio rimuoverle. Secondo me Google le elimina da solo, o ci mette nei risultati supplementari.
